From the ashes we rise

Renaissance Club reminds me of the phoenix. Kung maaalala n’yo, ancient mythologies tell of a firebird with beautiful plumage anda long life span. When the time comes for them to die, nag-iipon sila ng myrrh sa nest nila then they ignite. From the ashes rises a new phoenix, reborn to live again.

This is comparable sa nangyari sa Renaissance Club. A while after it was created, nawala ang kanilang founder and the Club “died”. Pero I think what makes it beautiful is yung determination ng mga members to rebuild the Club.

Read on as Altamira shares her thoughts and experiences as the acting Club Leader.

Me: Who founded your Club? When?

Altamira: The original founder of our Club is Jen, also known as –ESS-Reira. She established our Club in September 2007 but, due to personal reasons, she decided to leave the Club. That was the time when her position was passed on to Marky (--MARKY--).

Me: Why did you decide to create a Club?

Altamira: -ESS-Reira once said to us that she decided to create a Club to gain more friends and to meet different persons from all walks of life.

Me: How did you choose your Club name?

Altamira: For one and a half years, our club was called “Exiled Saints Society” but recently we decided to change it since we need to reorganize everything due to some problems. We chose the name “Renaissance”, the single word that can symbolize our club. Renaissance means rebirth or to be reborn. We all want a fresh new start and everyone agreed that it suits us well.

Me: How many members do you currently have?

Altamira: As of the moment, we have 54 members. That includes people who haven’t changed their nicknames yet but committed to comply as soon as possible.

Me: How was it like when the Club was just starting out?

Altamira: It’s pretty hard, especially since –ESS- wasn’t promoted well before. Actually, wala pa ngang club thread before tapos hindi pa ganon ka-updated. Nagkaroon lang after one year, o di ba grabe? So ayun, nung nag-start out ulit kami, siyempre dahil sa inactive ang original founder, we had to find ways to promote the club. Parang kami na rin ang nag-manage.

Me: What are the most difficult parts of Club management?

Altamira: Taking care of members. Of course, we need to make them feel appreciated.

Me: What do you think makes a strong Club?

Altamira: For me, friendship plays a big part in a club. It all starts there.

Me: What do you think are the most important things a Club should have in order to survive and flourish?

Altamira: I believe that a club can flourish once everyone is dedicated to what they are doing. Everybody should give their best. Siyempre, pag dedicated at passionate ka sa isang bagay, once na ma-accomplish mo na ang mga dapat and you reaped what you sowed, masa-satisfy ka especially pag maganda ang results.

Me: What do you think makes your Club different from the rest?

Altamira: Though we don’t have many members, we try our best to help the community. We will never give up. Even though there are many problems that crossed our paths, I am happy to say that we were all able to surpass those challenges.

Me: What are your Club's favorite activities?

Altamira: Hanging out and eating. Basta bonding moments with each other, uber enjoy kami.

Me: What's the funniest incident you can recall that happened to your Club?

Altamira: It was the time that we gathered sa Megamall. We were all doing the motions LIVE! Everyone was curious about what we’re doing. On my part naman, I was walking on the street then I thought I saw three of our members. So I came up to them shouted in their ears, “Aba, kayo aa…dito pala kayo pumupunta aa…” Then, when they turned to face me, ohh shoot…I was shocked because I didn’t know them pala. I just said my sorry and quickly went away.

Me: Who is your highest level member?

Altamira: Rei, a Worldstar. He’s gonna change his name soon.

Me: You've achieved a lot as a Club, what can you say to that?

Altamira: All that I can say is that we deserve it. We are really trying our best to help the community.

Me: What's your most memorable Club achievement?

Altamira: Winning the title for Club of the Month (May 2009). It was totally unexpected and all of us never thought that we would be nominated and eventually win so it’s really memorable for us.

Me: Do you have EBs? Every how often?

Altamira: Yes, once or twice a month.

Me: When was your most memorable EB? Why?

Altamira: Actually all of our gatherings are memorable. We appreciate the times that we are all together since we don’t see each other that much.

Me: How can you describe your Club members in real life?

Altamira: Noisy and energetic haha! It’s as if each had taken Enervon tablets and got overdosed! LOL

Me: Have you experienced being copied by other Clubs/players? How did you react to that?

Altamira: No. If ever we would be copied, of course we would mind it especially if the things that were copied were our properties.

Me: If there's one thing that your Club wants to change about the Audition community, what is it?

Altamira: Level discrimination. It’s becoming worse.

Me: How do you see your Club in the next five years?

Altamira: Still helping and contributing. A lot of things can happen within that span of time but hopefully, Renaissance will still be in the community.

Me: What is the greatest lesson you've learned throughout your Audition life?

Altamira: The greatest lesson that we’ve learned was to value the people behind the characters. =)

Me: Do you have current activities that you want to promote?

Altamira: As of now, we are all preparing for our 1st community event scheduled on September or October. So stay tuned and watch out for updates about this event. ^o~

Me: What's your message for the whole Club? For the entire Audition community?

Altamira: In behalf of my Club, Renaissance, I would like to thank all who supported us. Thank you for making us the Club of the Month. Rest assured that we will continue to do our best to help the community. ^o~

There you have it, Audistas. I hope Altamira’s story inspires everyone to continue living and loving the Audition community. Wag nating kalimutan ang lesson that she shared with us…that as long as everyone in the Club shares the same passion and determination, walang imposible.

Muli, ito ang inyong Audista chikadora, reporting. Hanggang sa muli! <3
